Ingredients
- Dark Chocolate – Up to 80% chocolate – 6 oz
- Unsalted Butter – 7 oz
- White Sugar – 9 oz
- Eggs – 3 of them (room temperature is best)
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla Extract – 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla boosts the chocolate flavor.
- Low Flour - 3 oz
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder – 1 oz
- Walnuts - 3 oz
INSTRUCTIONS
Start by melting the butter and dark chocolate together to create a mixture by using a double broiler. Once they have melted and fused together, combine the white sugar and salt to the melted mixture. Next, add the beaten eggs along with vanilla extract to this mixture.
To prepare the walnuts for use, start by chopping them finely and once fully chopped, toast them inside of the oven for about 5 minutes to bring out the aroma.
Once done toasting, remove the nuts from the oven, combine the previously prepared mixture with the nuts and dry ingredients and mix until everything is equally combined together as one mixture.
Next, preheat your oven to 350F degrees (10 minutes) and allow your mixture to bake for a total of 20 minutes inside of the oven.
Once done cooking remove it from the oven, allow it to cool and then add your berry garnishes!
